How are you doing?

Hey girlies!  It's your turn to post!  Just let us know how you're doing in general!  I've talked to some girls and they've said they haven't started the book yet.  Well...get on it girlie!  I'm not upset, lol!  The point of this is to be an encouragement to you.  You will benefit from it if you decide to you.  If not, well, I've been there and it's a lonely road.  Honestly, I've really craved spiritual encouragement and am loving this so far!  Let me know your thoughts!!  : )

Day 8 The Power Connection

Wow so that last verse is suuuuper encouraging!!!

You did not choose me but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit, fruit that will LAST.
John 15:16

Sometimes I forget that God chose us to bear His fruit. I get lost in the things of the world and forget my main purpose in this world. I want to blend in but its not who we are, we are special, we are different and out of ALL the people in the world He chose us to do HIS work.

God can't do that in me, that's for sure!!

Wow!  Day 4!  All I have to say is that I read the part that talks about our bodies being a temple for the Lord, and the Holy Spirit lives in us.  Debbie goes on to ask the question, "Would I stand in awe of God more often if I realized he was in me and wanted to work through me?"  How much do you limit God, because you limit what you think you can do?  This is some powerful stuff ladies!!!

Today is Day 1 of The Faith Dare!  My hope is that I/we will cling to the words of Jesus, and live them daily!  If you are fasting from something, can you share it here with us so we all know how to be praying for you?  You can comment, or give me your email so I can make you an author of the blog.  You may have to create a gmail account, so if you don't want to do that, just comment on the post!

Exciting New Beginnings!

Well, July 1st is when we will begin our 30 day journey of the faith dare!  I'm so excited to see how God will transform each of our lives through our fasting and dedicating time for Him EACH day!  I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed to be honest, but I know that a LOT can happen in 30 days!  I just have to keep telling myself that Jesus is the ONLY reason I'm here.   He's the only reason I wake up with a purpose, to know God and make him known! 

I am sitting here praying for each one of you.  I pray that God will fill your heart with a desire to be faithful to this study for 30 days.  We can do this, through Him and His strength! 

So what we're doing, is each day, we're reading through that day's section.  They are about 4-5 pages each.  VERY short.  There are 4 short sections: Praise/Prayer, and Truth/Dare.  The praise and prayers are usually scripture that you can pray out loud or in your head.  The Truth is from God's word speaking on the theme of that day.  And the Dare is what you apply during the day.  I would choose one dare and focus on that.  She gives 6 things you can take away from the lesson, but personally, I can't focus on that many things at once.  Then, I'd love for each of us to try to comment on this blog at least 2-3 times a week.  It can be brief.  Like, "Man, God is really stretching me in the area of realizing His strength and power and how that affects my daily living."  It can be short and sweet.  Just get involved!  : )  This will encourage us all to keep going.  I won't be posting every day, but will do my best to post often! 

So, grab a cup 'o joe, get into the book, and pray that God would grow and stretch you!
